I'm still planning my hike up Half Dome in August, so these short day hikes are helping me get ready for that. I'll post the next time I'm gonna go so maybe y'all can meet me... ;)

I heard the falls in the valley are full too. I went up and hiked around Wawona too on Sarurday. Snowy and nice. Hey I like your quote. I was given the same one by the teacher a few weeks ago

BTW.. if you plan a long weekend hike. This trail head is a good one for training. to the top of the falls you gain 2200 vertical feet in 4 miles. If you stay overnight at the top there is access to a ton of trails to try out.

I just bought a great book that descibes all the best swimming holes in California... "Day Trips with a Splash" by Pancho Doll. Chilnualna Falls is in there and it's on my list... great pictures!
