The Central California Blood Center began Friday with just 9 pints of blood. They need 250 to meet their basic needs. Now, they're calling on the community for help.

Yesterday's Sierra Star indicated that there will also be a blood drive on the first Saturday of every other month beginning on April 5th between the hours of 10AM to 2PM at the Elks Lodge (Hwy 41 & RD 222, Oakhurst - 683-2717).
