My kids and I have had such a great time at Have a Ball. It is clean, well-run, and has lots of nice kids for mine to play with. My kids, even as young as they are, are engaged throughout the entire class. I couldn't believe my youngest, almost two, could put her foot on a ball and rock it back and forth. I was also amazed at the level of understanding my kids had when they were taught games- they would come home and play them again and again. I was willing to drive to Gymboree in Fresno for classes, but they've closed, I've heard, and now that I've found Soccer Tots (one of the programs there) I don't have to drive to find the quality classes I was looking for.

Have A Ball is struggling, and looks like it may close at the end of the year.
This is sad for us, our children love Soccer Tots and Music Hour and Open Play. For those of you who have never been, you should try it while you can. It is $8 for Soccer Tots or Music Hour (depends on the day of the week) with instruction and fun games/music and includes an hour of Open Play, where the kids can do whatever they want (there is a lot to do!). It is so much fun, and I am sorry to see it close.
Donna Davis, the owner, is looking for another place to have just the Soccer Tots and Music Classes. But the facility they are at has proven to be too costly in this recession.
Soccer Tots/Music Hour (5 dollars) is at 10 am daily, with Open Play (4 dollars or 3 dollars if you do Soccer Tots before) immediately following (at 11-12). It is for under 5.
Please check it out!

You can have birthday parties there too, with an instructor/teacher there to guide the party.
Mon-Thurs there is Family Play time from 5:30-7:30 pm.

Our kids also love SoccerTots. Sorry to see it go although it isn't a huge surprise.

I would suggest calling the director of the Childrens Museum of the Sierra.
They are struggling with high rent as well and may be able to work something together.

Music 4 Kids
Music for Kids offers a fun-packed class, designed to allow children to make music together. Children learn to keep a steady beat and make coordinated movements, skills that are critical to math and reading later on. They will be exposed to many styles of music and to the sounds of many different instruments. Classes include singing, moving to music, finger rhymes, playing percussion instruments and lots more. Children will also be developing fine and large motor skills, language skills and socialization skills.
Soccertots
Soccertots is a game based physical fitness program for kids using a soccer theme. Soccertots teaches balance, agility, teamwork, following directions, numbers, colors, songs, make believe, personal achievement and much more! Using balls, goals, cones, parachutes, agility ladders, noodles and other props, 3-5 minute games are played to engage children into healthy fun while learning important skills that are valuable to their development.
Classes last about an hour and cost $6 per class or both for $10 (Sibling discount is $8)
There is no charge for siblings under 1 year of age, babies are welcome!
