Volunteers Needed for Campaign Events

We have a few events coming up that we will need volunteers for. Let me know if you are able to help with either of these events. The more people we have the easier it will be on us.

SATURDAY, MAY 24TH - 1pm - 5pm I have volunteered us to run the Beer Booth at the Oakhurst Peddlers Fair! We need at least 2 people. This is a great way to promote the campaign, get donations, hand out flyers and have fun at the same time. You can wear your "Mat for Mayor" shirt and we can put out a donation bucket, as well as hand out flyers. I plan to be there, but I feel that it would be best for me to walk around the event handing out flyers. If we have enough volunteers, perhaps some people can join me and we can all take turns at the beer booth. If we have a lot of volunteers, we can run both beer booths!!! Please respond ASAP to let me know if you can help.

SATURDAY, JUNE 14, 2008 - 9am - 2pm We have the entire Sierra Star Parking lot and we will be doing a paper shredding event, as well as washing cars and hopefully selling hot dogs and shaved ice. We'll have some kids there holding signs near the highway. Bring the kids! Bring the entire family to help out!

Unfortunatly I am having to work both of those Saturdays until 4:30. But keep me informed, there is bound to be one I can work.

Sorry I wasn't able to make it to the meeting, recently had surgery and suppose to be recouping to go back to work on monday.

I can probably help at the one on the 31st, let me just check what time my daughters track banquet is. then I'll get back to you on times I can help for that event.

Thanks mystee... I know you had surgery and I don't want you to push yourself too much. It's ok to say no. I know you have a hard time doing that sometimes. You are so generous and always willing to help. That's just the kind of person you are. Your help at the kickoff dinner was much appreciated. If you can help in other ways, that will also be appreciated.. .but again, don't push yourself too much and please let us know if you need anything. You have a lot of friends here that are willing to help you out also!

I (and some kids) will volunteer for the June 14th event. I'll get a confirmation on how many kids closer to the date.

Let me know if you need any bulk items for hot dog sales...I can get large quantities at reasonable prices, and would donate it to the cause (buns, dogs, ketchup/mustard/mayo/relish packets, napkins,etc)...
