I'm looking for local honey, made within 25-30 miles of Oakhurst. I've been all over, but all I can find is Madera or Sanger honey. Can anyone help me with this?

DG, if Coldwolf's note gets no response, check with the Ag Department. They'll know the beekeepers and probably where they market.

I was there last week, but apparently they are closed
There is Sweetberry or Sweetwater (don't remember) Farms right off of Road 628 in Ahwahnee. They grow fruits, berries, flowers, and make honey. I've never been there myself, but I've heard they have really good products. And you can even pick your own berries when they are in season!

You can keep your eyes open for where you see the hives placed too. If you can find the land owner, they will ( or should lol ) know who the keeper is. The keepers generally offer honey for "payment" for use of the land for the bee's harvesting to the land owners.... :) ~

I still haven't found any local, but am waiting on a couple of options. My daughter bought me some from Sanger, so I as am currently using that. Another friend told me of a Farmers Market planned in Bass Lake, but I haven't had time to investigate that yet... gotta get some soon

Maybe someone will have some at the flea markets this weekend in Oakhurst or Coarsegold?
