Be on the lookout for Mibrew (aka BREW, MILDEW or MILBREW) He is wanted for slander to the town of Coarsegold California. This individual is to be treated as unarmed but Verbally dangerous. Do not atempt to talk to this individual if seen. He has been spotted crossing county lines using road 415 to reach his hideout which is somewhere in the hills of the Oakhurst area. Rumor has it that he has been mining under his hideout for years and has hollowed out a 1,250,000 gallon capacity cavern where he has re-routed the town of Oakhursts water. A WELL know source (no pun intended) has reported that they overheard him talking to his partner Treasure Chest that they are going to hold out until the town is really desperate for water and then offer to resell them their own water at astronomical prices.

So .....Sarcasm alert ....
So we should ban Mibrew from Coarsegold... set up Mibrew sitings... Keep him away from "OUR" buffet at the casino .... Save our shrimp
Make him drive through Yosemite to get to his precious Bass lake....
No .... make him pay a toll ... thats it... all boats and owners of boats must pay a road fee to get through Coarsegold .... extra for those from Sunnyvale and surrounding communities

Yeah jimi, I did notice that. And it's very strange that the Oakhurst vrim log is so much longer when Mibrew is in town. coincidence? I think not. Mibrew has been know to push the law to their limits of handling call on thoses weekends. In fact I heard rumor that Mibrew once was drunk at his house and thought he heard a prowler and came running out of the house nude to investigate thinking it was the Teaford meadows prowler. I heard he was found wrestling around with what was not a prowler but a black bear when the law arrived. The sheriff took pictures and they somehow they made it to the Sierra Star who was going to publish them but Mibrew got a court injunction and stopped that LOL. It must have been quite a site.

Yes Jimi - I noticed that Coarsegold was a much shorter list than Oakhurst... hmmm...
I have to point out some funnies... they said in one of the events, "No injuries were reported from the spit." I certainly hope not - generally spit doesn't hurt!!! Do you think they meant spat?
And...how did the wallet get stolen if "Wallet was stolen during an auto burglary at the Falls Beach area in Bass Lake. The vehicle was locked and secured and there were no signs of forced entry." That's a good trick!

And one thing I think they should have edited better... (left off the age of the girl)
"Deputies contacted a 15-year-old girl on Quail Creek Road in regards to possible sexual intercourse with her grandfather."
I hope Quail Creek Road has a lot of 15 year old girls - or else the Star did not do a good job keeping a minor anonymous...

Hi all! Is there a beat report for the week of 8/8 - 8/14??
We were up at BL & there was some woman who early in the AM (like 5:30 or 6) was near our house chanting (loudly). She then appeared to dive into the lake and swim to the other side. Apparently police (or is it sheriff?) found her on the other side of the lake & arrested her. But, that is all I know...was looking for more info!

Not sure if this idiot, possible MethHead lives in the mtns, but he was southbound on 41 to Fresno just past the Madera/Fresno line. We were driving our Jeep to workat 1750 hours when our jeep was merged into fast line by my housemate driver when out of nowhere there is this chevy s10 lowrider version right on our A$$ and going 90 very fast (he either merged right behind us or was going 90 miles plus an hour). He got his knickers in a wad, whipped around us.. came up VERY close to right side of car... looked over, flipped us off then sped up faster and merging into our lane nearly clipping our right fender. Basically this arsehole swerved into our right front with the INTENT of running us off the road. We woulda run off the road by my housemate swerved fast enough to get out of said MethHead's way. I got part of his licence plate and the car was a brownish chevy pickup truck with bedcover over it. We called the CHP to make a report (this is where i get really mad) and we told "if an officer didnt see it, it didnt happen"). So folks, this idiot is out still prolly trying to kill ppl... so beware. and hope there is an AWAKE CHP or Sheriff looking straight on to see the incident.
and before anyone comes back and asks what we were doing in the fast lane if we werent going fast.... we were going 70... had just merged over so to avoid the merging of cars entering the freeway after Friant road.

I had a guy play "games" with me on the 41 (hitting brakes hard, speeding up, getting over in front of me when I tried to pass around him) and try to run me off the road about a month ago - I called CHP - same thing, could take info, but if an officer didn't see it, couldn't do a thing about it...
Now why is that?
If someone threatens me verbally or with a baseball bat and takes off, I can report it and they'd seek out that person by the description - isn't it the same when they try to run you off the road???

I flagged down a Deputy in Oakhurst once to report a similar crazy/insane driver (passing cars on blind corners, not enough room, etc.) between The Mountain House and 41 Trading Post.
The Deputy took my description of the vehicle and direction they were headed and put out a BOL over the radio and acted on it. I don't know the outcome, but I think they have a better attitude on working with the local folk than the CHP.

Well I must addmit this part of the thread is what makes me mad about our law enforcement system. they should have never told you anything like well if we did not see it ....
The truth is that if you force the issue the CHP and other are froced to react, I know from experince that you as a citezion can have a ticket issued to someone else for almost any reason speeding, reckless driving, ETC... it does however become the reporting persons job to show up in court, the burdon of proof is on you. I know this can be done because I did this about a year ago and while the officer discorged it he had no choice but to follow up on the matter. I also found the courts will listen to you and if your ducks are in a row you have a great chance in winning and the offending driver will face Fines and other actions just as if an officer seen it happen.
I first found out about this when I was 16 and had an adult have CHP issue me a ticket.
BTW you dont have to have the offending driver present when you talk to the officer but you will most likely face them in court and they will have the reight to question you for thier defence, so if you do somthing of this nature then be ready with all the facts.
If you have a person tell you anything like this in the future just say ok let me talk to your boss, trust me thier attatudes(SP?) will change.

Yep, within a couple weeks Sierra Audio/Video had a robbery and so did that cigarette shop near Raleys. The first set of thieves were caught, the other set got away with it.

When I moved here in 1994 I could leave my keys in the ignition and run into Vons. It still probably wasnt the smartest thing to do, but my point is that I could do it. I dont think I locked my house up for about eight years.
I used to have a job that required me to read the sheriffs reports for the blind. It was always such a struggle not to giggle when all I could read about was vandalism. I couldnt believe the things people would report. It would seem that our biggest criminals in those days were bored children.
But I guess this is all the price we pay for a growing community, right?
