The rest of it, no idea. I have a new sony vaio laptop... it is for watching movies (I watch veoh and netflix movies through it onto the big screen), so as far as I know pretty top of the line other stuff. Haha.

I am an audiophile, so I love foobar2000. It supports all my lossless files, and I can easily transcode any ALAC (Apple Lossless) to WavPack.

For video playback onto a secondary monitor/TV I tend to use Media Player Classic as it has a sort of Vertical Sync to prevent any tearing, which I can often see.
