What internet service do you have? I live in Oakhurst and I'm looking for a service that does not require a phone line. I have the verizon wireless internet which is really nice but too expensive!! Look forward to your replies.

I use Northland Cable Internet. They are only 26.99 per month. The connection is pretty fast.

New computer with Vista. Took me a while to get XP figured out and then they switch on me. Is there somwhere I can go to ask for some instructions specific to Vista?? For example--when I download a PDF file it goes to the "Media Center" and then I can't find it.

I reccommend you download FoxIt PDF Reader for well PDF's.. It doesn't go through zillions of DLL's like Adobe does, it's fast and simple.

I use STI DSL and love it. I have been on ComCrap in the passed and the difference between the two companies is wider than the grand canyon! STI is local, local people, local service, local techies.... which rock. (not that I have to call for tech service much cept when the email fuggs up and i have to get it cleared once in a bleu moon. )

The biggest reason I like these local ISP's are for the fact that they do not cap your download or upload.. Unlimited is so awesome. ^_^
