Has anyone had any experiences with the paranormal that they would like to share? Is anyone into paranormal studies? I'd love to talk about it with you.

I have had a few experiances in the paranormal. Too many to post them all. My favorite one was at the Old Childrens Hospital right after we moved to the new one. I work in security. I was in the hospital by myself, no one else around. I was walking around in the lab area near pathology. I was standing in front of a door that had a little window that looked into another room. All the sudden, I felt a cold air rush behind me. Then a little sweet voice that sounded like a little girl said "hello" from right behind me. I turned around and no one was there.
I had many more experiances that night. I wanted to come back with a camera and voice recorder, but the building sold and I never got to go back.
I just joined up with an invesitgator group and have so far gone on 2 investigations. I am really learning a lot from this group.

Hi, and welcome to the forums!
There are people here who are interested in paranormal research, and there was even a local paranormal seminar that was held up here in Oakhurst this month at the Sierra Sky Ranch by the CCI ~!
You can read about it here~

There was a show on cable a couple of months ago about the ghosts that live at Sierra Sky Ranch. I forget the name of the show, but it was very interesting.
I have communicated with dead people...they are more interesting than some of the live people I know. And my sister who was a nurse was doing CPR on a patient in a hospital while the deceased was standing in the corner looking pissed off as to say "just let me die and stop the CPR".

When I was 10 years old, my grandfather had just recently passed away. (I didn't get to go see him in the hospital.) I was in my room playing a little mini organ. (My grandfather loved to play the Organ and Accordian all the time!) I felt a slight breeze, my macrame plant hanger in the corner started to gently sway, and I smelled a man's cologne. (My bedroom window was closed.) I called my mother in and she said right away, that was your grandfather's cologne. We figured he came by to say, 'goodbye' to me.
I've had other experiences also.

That happens more than you would probably believe. Dead relatives or loved ones will come back to communicate with you or say their farewells. It has happened to me with several different people. I think it shows that they care.

I also had that happen with my grandmother's perfume. I was watching TV in the Den and I kept smelling perfume while visiting my mom's house and I kept asking...do you smell that to which my mom would say no. I finally said, ok what the he_ _ is that. My mom went into her bathroom and brought out a bottle from the medicine cabinet she had me smell it and asked if that was what I was smelling. I said yes, she said calm as can be "oh that's your grandma coming to say hi" and went back into the bathroom to put the bottle away. I've had others as well but that was I'd say my first encounter.

Since my Mom's passing, there is a lamp in the livingroom that has no lightbulb that glows from time to time. We always say "Hi Mom" out loud and go on about our business.

That's very cool BGW. It reminded me that I always see my mom's birth month/day or birth month and year. I too always say "Hi Mom". Very cool how they do communicate with us if we are only open enough to realize it!

So can you tell us how it was at the Sky Ranch Seminar JJ? I've wondering about how it went!
The seminar went really well. I really had a blast at the investigation. After the Seminar, they let everyone go on their own way. Since I came alone, I walked around with 2 other people. We went to an upstairs room that was probably for storage. There were stairways to other rooms and hallways. Once, the guy with us asked "can you make a noise to let us know you are here?" and there was 3 knocks on the wall. I am not sure if it was a ghost, but the timeing was perfect. Then, there was a mystirious (excuse my spelling) light on the bottom of the stairs that went into a closet. The lady with us asked "is that you?" and the light began to move.
I took a lot of pictures and in 2 of them, I can see a face in a window. 2 different faces in different windows.
It was an awsome experiance! And now on November 9th, we are going to Wolfe Manor in Clovis. That is going to be cool!

Thank you! I do so want to be able to do this one day !!!! I used to work at SSR years ago, so I knew where you were talking about when you referred to the storage closet area up stairs.... I really enjoyed it. ( It was back when our current John Anderson became Sheriff. I bartended for his celebration party ) rolleyes: and thats when I became aware of SSR's *haunted* history:D
I've never heard of the Wolfe Manor in Clovis though? Hubby works with a man who goes on these events too. He always has some pretty exciting or at the very least interesting stories to tell him that he comes home and shares with me!

Wolfe Manor used to be known as the Andleberry Estate years ago. It is on Clovis Ave. just south of Shaw. Watch Ghost Hunters on November 19th (I think). The Taps guys were there in Sept and it is going to be on the air.
You said you remember the storage area on the 2nd floor at SSR? Do you know of any stories or things that have been seen up there? I am really curious of who or what we saw that night.

Anything I remember is pretty vague now ~ I know one of the guest rooms, is reportedly haunted by a child....( is there a loft in one of the rooms with children s toys in it?) But nothing was specific on the child, or who the child was.... YES! on the light under the door. That was seen a few times by housekeepers that have worked there.....and some got to where they refused to enter the room....
I remember *something* regarding a teddy bear in a chair that was always found *moved*..... Hmmmmmmmmmm........
I will have to think if I can recall anything more. Its been several years since I worked there myself, or had any friends who worked there. There are also LOADS of Indian artifacts that have been located on the property, when they were installing water lines and across the street in the old golf course too, but I am not sure if any of the hauntings have been attributed to any of those....
I'm sorry. I wish what I remembered wasnt so vague!

Two nights ago...I was looking out the window at raccoons in the yard and noticed the garage light was on. It was too late to go out there and turn it off, so I waited until morning. Went out there....no lights on. Maybe I had a prowler you ask? Nah! the dogs would have ate them!!

I will overlook the rude statement that was made here previously, and leave that in the hands of those who are best able to and can deal with it......;)
BGW, do you think it was Mom having a looksie perhaps? ( Not that she would need any lights to do that lol ) but spirits do like to play with lights !

I dunno 1alpha. The past 13 months have been interesting to say the least. I'd say the house needed to be rewired but that's been done!! This is the first 'incident' where I have been home alone. And, it doesn't happen at all when the kids or guests are here---thankfully! I have one out of four dogs that is hyper-sensative to what ever it is as well. We don't know what she is seeing but she is seeing something and does her best to follow it everywhere in the house. It is kind of funny to watch her actually.
All I do know for sure is that what ever it is, it does not scare me or even make the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Nov 07, 2008, 08:40 AM
I had a cat that was hyper sensitive like that too. He would always see it or them before I knew it or they were around. I was never afraid and never felt the hairs stand up on the back on my neck either, but the older he got, the more he started hunching up at them? or it? ~ Funny to watch at times! but the older he got the less patient he became too, until he would finally just go and hide under the bed for a few days or until *it* or they, left.... :D I never knew if he saw them like I did or if he saw something else, but we always saw them at about the same time! LOL I just never went and hid under my bed........

What's rude is when people make a joke out of something serious.
You all post your experiences with ghosts and spirits, and they are discussed.
I post about having encounters with extraterrestrial beings, and you make a joke out of it.
What makes you think I believe your ridiculous stories about ghosts?
I mean come on, everyone knows there's nothing but humans in this great big universe.

torejonesfoto, I'm sorry if I offened you about my probe joke, I wrongly assumed you were also making a joke and I apologize.
No one expects you to believe in spirits or ghosts, however calling someone ignorant because they think differently than you was rude and unnecessary.

I am not so presumptuous to believe that we "living creatures" on Earth are the only "living creatures" anywhere. The vastness of the Universe (or whatever one chooses to call it) is mind- boggling to me, and IMHO far beyond our knowledge and/or understanding. I do not believe that your alleged encounters with extraterrestrial beings to be ridiculous, nor do I believe that "spiritual" encounters to be ridiculous either. I too, have had experiences that I cannot explain with my current knowledge and points of reference.
Just as there are color wavelengths that are not visible to human eyes, and sounds that we are not capable of hearing, I often wonder what else is "Out There". I welcome the discussion, and am scientifically excited by new information and experiences. An open mind is helpful to all...

torejonesfoto, you started this topic with the following:
"Has anyone had any experiences with the paranormal that they would like to share? Is anyone into paranormal studies? I'd love to talk about it with you."
So why, when someone responds do you reply with an insult and disbelief in their experiences?
"What makes you think I believe your ridiculous stories about ghosts?
I mean come on, everyone knows there's nothing but humans in this great big universe."

There is a real technique to emails and online chat. No one can see/hear when you smile, or smirk, or laugh, or frown or use a sarcastic tone of voice.
Try using the emotion icons, maybe we will get it then.
I'm not trying to ride your a**. Just trying to say, hey, we all make mistakes and we all have learning curves.
Let's get back to having fun on this topic. I'm glad you started it.

Several nights ago I had a long, wonderful dream about an old boss of mine who was also a dear family friend, now deceased. The next day I got an email from his daughter with a picture of his granddaughter, a new baby girl named Penelope. I emailed back and said "I had a fantastic dream about your dad - Bill - last night." She emailed me back and said, "Did you know that was the tenth anniversary of his death?" I wonder if I saw his heaven?

I've had numerous paranormal experiences throughout my life. A large percentage during my childhood, and later in adulthood they have come in spurts.
In my childhood are buried what one would call abductee experiences when I lived in Florida.
When our family came out West, my experiences turned to premonitions and vivid dreams of future events (Not big ones, but personal, and usually not really that important other than that I saw something before it happened). That faded away for a while, then at 10 years old I had a NDE experience at a public pool. I've never been afraid of death since. My premonition and Vivid dreams became active again for a while, and then faded away again.
When I was 21-22 I was going through some tough times and living out of my car or crashing at friends houses from time to time. During this time I had a series of (what I call) flat out visions, with lots of symbolic imagery. These visions have mostly come true, except for a couple which I see the pathway being laid already for them to be fulfilled. These visions were about personal things and milestones in my life that would come to be.
A few years after this I ended up renting an apartment, where the apartment above was rented by an old man who had lived there for years.
I used to get regular visits from an "Old Hag" spirit and something else that was more sinister. I had to actually do some spiritual battle by professing my faith to get it to go away and leave me alone.
It came to pass that the old man upstairs died one day and we found him a week later. He was laying halfway on his bed and had been drinking wine. In hindsight I often wonder if one of those spirits attacked him in his weak moment.
The interesting thing about that apartment is that various tennants have described the same kind of experiences.
Since then I have the occasional vivid dream about something that comes about a few years later. It seems idiotic at the time, but perfectly makes sense years later.
I think and believe we all have the capability as a gift of God, but that some of us use it more for one reason or another. Points of stress or injury in our lives can flip a switch, or amplify it. I also think that when you deal with some kind of spiritual experience that you gain access even if by accident to other levels of existence. For instance, I feel I had gained an extraordinary set of visions and dreams for a time after my spiritual battle in that apartment. It's like it spilled over into my being for a while until it faded away over time.
Most everything I have experienced has been at a subconscious level during sleep, or after my NDE.
Do I have hard evidence to prove what I believe? No. But then I really don't feel the need to prove anything to anyone anyway.
:)
@torejonesfoto:
I believe that UFO's exist. I have even seen unexplanable phenomena, not the silver discs kind of thing mind you but...
Knowing what I know about the scale and age of the universe in my studies, I am unable to find myself thinking that we are the only living creatures to exist in it's vastness. Even more that it would be arrogance to do so.
Regarding that web site you linked, I took note of the Bob Lazar threads. I don't doubt that he worked in Area 51 (S4 more accurately), but I also don't think we'll ever know the whole (or real) truth about it with all the disinformation that has flooded the UFO research arena.
One thing IS clear to me, there are enough UFO/USO reports that can't be explained by natural means, from VERY credible witnesses, that obviously there is something going on.
;)
Anyway, enough jabba...
