Madera County Search & Rescue featured....

Tonight at 10pm on the Discovery channel (182 on DishNetwork) features the Madera County Search & Rescue team being called in to find Les Stroud when he gets lost int eh Sierra Nevada Mountains during the filming of one of his shows.

Who knows, if you watch, you might just see one of your fellow community members.

The name of his show is "Survivor Man". It was pretty good. He started his "getting lost in the Sierra Nevada's" by Willow Creek. I watched it, it wasnt bad, but it was only the last 3 minutes or so where they actually showed any of the rescuers, and none of them were introduced.

We have had an excellent search and rescue team for many years !

I like that show Survivorman, so I checked my TIVO and (we have DISH) the episode "Sierra Nevada" is scheduled to repeat on 11/16 at 11:00am.

Yes he is, but he's sure fun to watch! lol..... (I'm just very releived that in this episode he didnt *opt* for eating any bugs......! ) I loved that fact he was eating Miner Lettuce, as I eat it every spring too! ha! It supposed to be loaded with Vitamin C too! ;) but I dont want to spoil the show for you, so I wont add any more about it.....:)
