Has anyone heard about a possible murder in coarsegold over the weekend?

No, I live in Coursegold and went to social gatherings on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and did not hear a word. I would not be surprised though.

I live in Coarsegold and talked to my friend yesterday, whose husband is CHP based in Coarsegold, and she works at Gottschalks - so you know she would have heard something - nothing though.

My brother was talking to his best friend today and he told him that one of his neighbors was killed last night.

That's about all I know.

Guess I was wrong, someone did die but supposly it was an accident?
I heard screams though, so it makes ya wonder.
Very sad.

I heard there was one too. This is very word of mouth and so third party that I have no idea if any of it is accurate...

I heard that a mentally handicapped person was tangled in barbed wire and burned off of 41 near the wood sculptures. What area did you hear the screams? Please tell me that I heard this incorrectly b/c if this is true, I am sickened and concerned.

That is exactly what my brother told me as well. His friend heard the screams as well and was friends with the child that was involved. It's really sad.

Wow, that is tragic. What is the area you are talking about? So sorry for all concerned, what a terrible accident.

I'm praying that this didn't really happen. It's awful.

I am not convinced this happened, I have insider information on local things, and hadn't heard a thing.

I really hope my brother's friend was lying. It's a horrible thing to lie about though, but I would much rather it be a lie then having it actually happen.

Not to completely change the subject, but did anyone hear anything about shots being fired in the Casino parking garage sometime in the last week or so? We heard it on the scanner and saw about 10 sheriffs and CHPs drive by our house super fast with sirens and lights about 2 minutes later, but never heard anything more about it. When we went to the casino later that night it didn't look like anything had happened at all. We figured that someone over reacted or something.

Wow, I'll have to ask my hubby about this one, he works nights at the casino and he would know if anything happened....

Is this Rumors Gone Wild? A story in the "Sun"?

This is a pretty incredulous story not to have hit the news.

So are you saying that you heard it was an accident or that this was done deliberately? What do you mean by "burned"? I'm having a hard time accepting this happened.

An accident? or a murder?

I asked my parents about it because they live in Coarsegold and my dad's friend said he knew the victim because they were neighbors. Very sad.

I'm having a hard time with this too. If something this tragic happened it would make the news and papers. There's nothing there. People from all over would be talking about it. This is the first I heard.

I was in the Coarsegold Post office and the a CHP officer was there when I asked if they knew of anyting about it but NADA. Interesting

This is very strange. When I asked my parents last night I told them I didn't know if it was true or not. But they told me the victims name and said there were a lot of sheriff and forensics people investigating at the crime scene.

I hope it didn't happen but I can't imagine anyone making up a story like that.

HIS_MOM

well if there were sheriffs and forensic people out on the scene the roads would of been blocked and people would of seen all the cars and vans from the police department. i think this story is alot of b.s funny how no one is saying a name of a victim and there is nothing in the news or newspaper and no sheriff or chp officers know about it....

i really think this was a joke someone played dn someone and it got taken a little too far,

If the sheriff did know about it, would they be allowed to talk about it to anyone who asks?

HIS_MOM

sherriff can talk about what they please. they dont have to give a victims anme but they can state if soemthign is true or false. and since this is an inside sorce. that i know all to well i know that person would of said if it happend!

also there would be atleast one person on this forum that could say they drove by the crime scene and seen all the chaos going on there.

i find this way to unbelieveable.

Dawn

I guess it all must be false then. This is one time when I am glad that people were just lying.

I was told this by a person whose grandmother is a neighbor and the grandmother was not sure it was an accident. The grandmother said there is an investigation. But like I said before I really have no clue how true. I don't know where it happened, who the people are or even this grandmother. I have heard of things being hush hush around here so I am not surprised that if it did happen that we may never hear of it.
