Due to recent storms, there are alot of trees down, if you need help getting them cleared, give me a call, I am in the YLP area right now.

My mother's and our place have a 20 foot pine and a 10 foot live oak down in YLP -
Also - have 3 large Oak limbs and a couple littler live Oak limbs down at our home in Coarsegold off 415.
How much would you charge to do both locations - we want them cut into fireplace size - I think 16 inch wide pieces and maybe chip the too small branches (or we can leave for a burn pile)?

A lot of the tree trunks and branches coming down with this snow are second-growth oaks that have spung up from stumps that had once burned in a fire. You can tell that type of tree by the multiple trunks (2, 3, or maybe more) that grow in such a way as to form a "pocket" near the bottom.
These pockets tend to hold rain water and snow melt and eventually the wood begins to rot or weaken. It is almost like there is a bowl formed at the bottom. Under load stress, the trunks are very likely to just split apart. They are accidents waiting to happen.
If any of these second-growth, multi-trunk oaks are close to your homes or cars, you might consider trimming them or making sure nothing's underneath, even dog houses.
