aarrrggghhh that is always hard. Pets are like family.

So you need to think on the positive side that he/she will no longer be suffering.

Sorry Frmmt.

I have a 17 year old cat that I think I am gonna have to do that with very soon. I know it's gonna be hard to do so I understand your situation. I am sure that the emotion will overwhelm you when the time comes but just let it flow. It is best to release the sorrow and know that he/she is now in a better place.

I'm so sorry, I know how awful it can be and nothing can make it better except time. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/sad3.gif

You have my sympathies. How terribly sad it is when our best friends have to move on.

my heart goes out to you. I fear the day that I have to put one of my babies down. I dont know what is worse... having a doggie die in your arms after being hit by a car.. or having them die in your arms as you let the vet inject them with "the blue needle" (phenobarbital being blue.)

Both suck.

I know how you are feeling, really I do. 17 years ago I had to put my little Doxie down, after having had him for 14 years, from the time he was 8 weeks old. He was my best friend, someone I could talk to and who loved me no matter what. I think I cried at work for 3 days, had to keep hiding in the bathroom and when I came out told them it was allergies. I still miss the little bugger, but it doesn't hurt as much anymore. You get so attached to them, and it isn't like losing a family member, it IS losing one. Time will heal, but you'll never forget. I still have a hard time over Jaco and Shultz. Jaco was over two years ago now...

My heart goes out to you, and I know it is hard but it is the best thing.

Whew, that's tough mtns.2sea. I've been thru that twice and each time it tore my heart out. But what happens is you get another and love them just as much. Too bad our pets don't have longer lives. My thoughts are with you.
