As I was coming home from Church this morning there was a motorcycle down. They were doing CPR on him/her. Please send out prayers for the rider!

It was at that little driveway between Yosemite Bank and BofA going into Raleys. He/she was laying in the middle of 41 so I suspect someone turned in front of him.

Heard that the man passed away, not from the accident but from a heart attack. I hope that information is wrong.

Well I didn't really see any other cars around to indicate an accident or that he'd been hit except one sitting in the driveway between the two banks but they could have been parked there to help. That's aweful!!

A friend of mine came upon the scene as it happened this morning, without getting graphic, he was definatly hit. there were plenty of witnesses to that.

My roommate was working at Blockbuster at the time and called me and asked me to check the chp page for her. It said Vehicle vs Motorcycle, and possible fatality... didn't say much more than that though. As soon as it was off the main page it never went into the filed incidents that I saw, so I wasn't able to repost the info on here.

so sad. :(

Having ridden many bikes for many years, I can tell you the biggest danger are people in cars that just don't "SEE" bikers. They pull up to a road, look both ways for a car sized object and then pull out. Somehow, that smaller single headlight object just doesn't register on their brain. It's happened in front of me all too often. I only post this as a reminder to other drivers.

We came upon this yesterday and I cannot get it out of my head. Not expecting to see it I didn’t tell my 5 year old to look away. She didn’t understand so we asked Jesus to help the man as we drove by. It replayed in my mind all day, and my girl even prayed for him during her bedtime prayers. I hope the man’s family is ok. Does anyone know who he was or if a fund has been started? It has really made me think of how lucky I am. Any of us can go at anytime and I told my husband and girl I love them ALL day yesterday. I did not know the man but he made me appreciate my family. May God bless anyone who is grieving for him.

Such a tragic incident for all involved; it brought tears to my eyes when I read that your 5 hear old remembered him in her bedtime prayers. So very sad :(
Just a reminder to all to please not post his name (if anyone knows who he was) until it has been determined that his next of kin has been notified...

The man's name was Jody Pierce and he was our next door neighbor. He was the nicest guy you'd ever meet, and his wife Wanda teaches at Rivergold.

From what we've heard, someone ran the light at the Von's gas station and hit him.

Thought I'd let everyone know what we'd heard so far - and Wanda was notified. We haven't talked to Wanda yet.

I immediately started praying as soon as I came upon the accident and they were doing CPR...never a good sign! I'll continue to keep the family and friends in my thoughts and prayers.
