This thread reminds me of myself several years ago. I moved to Oakhurst, not knowing anyone and working at the Comfort Inn, not meeting many locals. I asked a male friend if he knew of anyone who:
Didn't drink too much or do drugs,
Wasn't married,
Wasn't abusive,
Had a car, a job and a place to live.
My friend said "No". A couple of days later he came back to me and said he knew of one guy. That one guy is now my wonderful husband! There is hope, good luck Jan.

Nobody is perfect anyway, you can meet someone who is thoughtful but curses you behind your back or someone who is divorced but later found out that he or she's still married. You just have to deal with someone no matter how imperfect that person could be.
