Hi Everyone
I am not doing pizza anymore, Round Table’s escrow closed finally on September 19th. I have started doing this new home based business that Bob from Mug & Brush got me into. I thought some of you might be interested. You can go to the web site below and watch a video. The company is called MonaVie. The company launched January 8, 2005 and has been featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show, NBC Today. The Washington Post, London Times and Wall Street Journal have also given it significant coverage.
You can go to my web site http://www.mymonavie.com/healthier and see a video, look at the product line and enroll if you want. If you have questions you can email me at monavie@sti.net or stop by Mug & Brush and talk to Bob.
Thanks
Dave

My son is a distributor for MonaVie, so of course I had to try it. I have arthritis really bad my hips always hurt. By the third day after taking MonaVie my joints quit hurt. I had more energy and my sleep improved. I have been taking it for about 4 months now and I feel great. If you have Joint pain I think you should try it.

Glad to hear it is working for you. http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/happy.gif
I truly believe everyone should try MonaVie it is amazing what it does for you. I have been taking MonaVie since October. I also have my 7 year old and my wife taking it. It is great my son has not been sick this year with his normal first of the year cold. My wife’s back doesn’t bother her anymore and my joints don’t hurt. If you would like to try a bottle give me a call 559-760-8786. If you have Arthritis you need to try this, most of the customers I have that have Arthritis feel better by the 3rd day.
There are two kinds of results you get from MonaVie: Results you FEEL and results you DON’T FEEL.
Possibly the most important results will be those you DON’T FEEL. That’s because you probably won’t feel MonaVie as it strengthens your immune system and helps to prevent diseases.
Although you will certainly get those kinds of results, NO MATTER WHAT, you may also find that your pain decreases, your sleep improves, your mental focus sharpens, and your energy goes through the roof! If that happens, then great! If not, then it’s important to know that MonaVie is still doing powerful things to enhance your health.
So, give it a try! What do you have to lose? There’s a 30-day money back guarantee from the company. No questions asked.

Brazilian berry destroys cancer cells in lab, UF study shows
Filed under Research, Health, Sciences, Agriculture on Thursday, January 12, 2006.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A Brazilian berry popular in health food contains antioxidants that destroyed cultured human cancer cells in a recent University of Florida study, one of the first to investigate the fruit’s purported benefits.
Published today in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, the study showed extracts from acai (ah-SAH’-ee) berries triggered a self-destruct response in up to 86 percent of leukemia cells tested, said Stephen Talcott, an assistant professor with UF’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences.
“Acai berries are already considered one of the richest fruit sources of antioxidants,” Talcott said. “This study was an important step toward learning what people may gain from using beverages, dietary supplements or other products made with the berries.”
He cautioned that the study, funded by UF sources, was not intended to show whether compounds found in acai berries could prevent leukemia in people.
“This was only a cell-culture model and we don’t want to give anyone false hope,” Talcott said. “We are encouraged by the findings, however. Compounds that show good activity against cancer cells in a model system are most likely to have beneficial effects in our bodies.”
Other fruits, including grapes, guavas and mangoes, contain antioxidants shown to kill cancer cells in similar studies, he said. Experts are uncertain how much effect antioxidants have on cancer cells in the human body, because factors such as nutrient absorption, metabolism and the influence of other biochemical processes may influence the antioxidants’ chemical activity.
Another UF study, slated to conclude in 2006, will investigate the effects of acai’s antioxidants on healthy human subjects, Talcott said. The study will determine how well the compounds are absorbed into the blood, and how they may affect blood pressure, cholesterol levels and related health indicators. So far, only fundamental research has been done on acai berries, which contain at least 50 to 75 as-yet unidentified compounds.
“One reason so little is known about acai berries is that they’re perishable and are traditionally used immediately after picking,” he said. “Products made with processed acai berries have only been available for about five years, so researchers in many parts of the world have had little or no opportunity to study them.”
Talcott said UF is one of the first institutions outside Brazil with personnel studying acai berries. Besides Talcott, UF’s acai research team includes Susan Percival, a professor with the food science and human nutrition department, David Del Pozo-Insfran, a doctoral student with the department and Susanne Mertens-Talcott, a postdoctoral associate with the pharmaceutics department of UF’s College of Pharmacy.
Acai berries are produced by a palm tree known scientifically as Euterpe oleracea, common in floodplain areas of the Amazon River, Talcott said. When ripe, the berries are dark purple and about the size of a blueberry. They contain a thin layer of edible pulp surrounding a large seed.
Historically, Brazilians have used acai berries to treat digestive disorders and skin conditions, he said. Current marketing efforts by retail merchants and Internet businesses suggest acai products can help consumers lose weight, lower cholesterol and gain energy.
“A lot of claims are being made, but most of them haven’t been tested scientifically,” Talcott said. “We are just beginning to understand the complexity of the acai berry and its health-promoting effects.”
In the current UF study, six different chemical extracts were made from acai fruit pulp, and each extract was prepared in seven concentrations.
Four of the extracts were shown to kill significant numbers of leukemia cells when applied for 24 hours. Depending on the extract and concentration, anywhere from about 35 percent to 86 percent of the cells died.
The UF study demonstrates that research on foods not commonly consumed in the United States is important, because it may lead to unexpected discoveries, said Joshua Bomser, an assistant professor of molecular nutrition and functional foods at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
But familiar produce items have plenty of health-giving qualities, he said.
“Increased consumption of fruits and vegetables is associated with decreased risk for many diseases, including heart disease and cancer,” said Bomser, who researches the effects of diet on chronic diseases. “Getting at least five servings a day of these items is still a good recommendation for promoting optimal health.”

Like I said before I have been taking this since October and I feel great. On January 7th I quit taking celebrex which I had been taking for 2 years. I just quit taking it cold turkey which I found out from my Doctor I should of tapered off. But besides a couple headaches at first I feel great no joint pain. I tried quitting before I was taking Mona Vie but by the 3rd day I could hardly get out of bed, I felt like a crippled old man.
If you want to try Mona Vie I will sell you your first bottle at my cost.

Dave Hey Dave : Many thanks for intoducing me to that awsome product. I have had joint pain for years. I tried one bottle of the active formula and within just a few days started feeling the difference . I have since had my sister try the active formula, because she has had knee surgery and was told to stay on gluclosomine for the joints, and Aleve daily for pain . I gave her a bottle and within a week she was asking how to get more. The acai active took care of both issues for her, And she also noted she had become more regular without all the bran and extra stuff that way as well. So again, Thanks, Kelton (Aark Carpet Cleaning)

Two of my aunts are taking Monavie, they couldn't believe how good they felt after the 3rd day. They both said they have more energy, no joint pain and that they sleep better. That might be because they are not in pain anymore. My uncle and mom just started taking it so I'll let you know what they think. I have a bottle too, have not started taking it yet but it does taste good.

MonaVie is the easiest and best business I have ever done. You don’t have to do much just share the product with people; MonaVie does all the work for you. You can start out doing it part time, then when you are making more doing MonaVie than you do at your job, you can do MonaVie full time. Anyone that wants to make some extra money should come to the Fresno Convention this Saturday. You don’t need to stay for the whole thing just from 1pm-2:30pm just to hear about the business. It is free so you don’t have anything to loose. When you get there just say you are a guest of Dave & Denise Volpetti. Email us if you are going to go www.monavie@sti.net (http://www.monavie@sti.net)

It really doesn't cost that much if you sign up as a distributor, especially if you share it with some people. If you get a few people to sign up under you, you can end up getting it for free. We started out just trying to get it for free and it turned into the easiest, funniest business we have ever done. The great thing about Mona Vie is you are helping people feel better and live longer. My whole family has had great results from the product. Our neighbor's doctor just took him off his high blood pressure medicine. Its just incredible.
My mom was spending $150 a month on celebrex which she doesn't have to take anymore plus she doesn't take aspirin or any other kind of pain medicine anymore. That pays for her Mona Vie.
Mona Vie also boosts your immune system, we have not been sick since we started taking it.
I have seen so many people have such great results that I think everyone should be drinking it.

If you are looking to help people and make some great money MonaVie is the business for you. I have 3 people that have been doing it part time for 6 months that are making $800 to $1,500 a week, right here in Coarsegold and Mariposa.
The testimonials are so amazing, we have diabetics off medication or have reduced medication, people off high blood pressure medication and the most amazing one is our good friend that had a tumor that is gone, after 3 months!! The MRI tech and the 2 nurses on her case both are drinking it now. I have heard other people that I don’t personally know, say that their tumors are gone and another person said their tumor reduced in size by 50% it went from 4.4 to 2.1 in 6 months. But you really feel good when it is a good friend.

But its time for something new. Think about it. How saturated monavie is. Now i know there is a ton of soul hearted and passionate monavie drinkers out there and I'll get beaten with a verbal stick... But hey, I wouldnt be doing the right thing if I didnt put it out there.
But since you are speaking of monavie i just wanted to offer a little something to ya coming from a friend.
I have been in monavie for 5 months now, I hit ruby executive in my first 2 months. Now, never doing a network marketing company before this seemed to be pretty strong! So i had some fun. Then a month ago i was shown a new company. A company that hasn't even launched yet. A company that is not a pill, not a powder, not a juice. You know how many other juice companies there are, lol so i took a look. Its a revolutionary delivery system. Its a dissolvable chew, that when you chew it, all the phytochemicals and nutrients are absorbed in under 40 seconds. ALL OF THEM. Heres the best part. It has the acai berry in it...YUP. With the same dry freeze process. (Theres not really an exclusive patent, google it yourself.) You heard of Xango? Well our product also has the mangosteen in it! ALong with The Tahitian Noni and Goji berry. But he didnt stop there. He wanted to make this the most powerful antioxidant blend in the world with his new delivery system. Added B12, Folic Acid, Alpha Lipoic Acid, And Resveratrol! Theres more, lol. But i suggest you research more for yourself. http://www.chews4health.com/kaseyk
If anything understand this. Monavie pays you 10% on your lesser volume leg. This company pays you out 24%. Same binary system but with more unique bonuses. For instance, our two infiinity just like executuve check match but more of a percentage of your downlines check AND you dont have to hit any level to recieve any generation. You get paid all generations no matter what rank u are :) You will be impressed check it out.
Also, monavie has over 1.5 mill distributors and counting. Especially here in FRESNO!! Why not be the one who starts this new revolutionary product in your city. ITS JUST STARTING! If you dont believe me get on the conference calls, the website. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL. Give me a call, listen to my story. I promise you, if finanical freedom is what you are looking for, then you have found it. Just check this out. I mean think of all the people you can recruit. The people you know who are doing monavie who arent in your downline and the people who enrolled you and so on!! Just an incredible opportunity you dont want to be kicking yourself later for missing. Think if you were one of the first people doing monavie... Bottom line.

Well this one hasn't gone away, they just keep changing the form it's offered in (the Acai Berry that is). Good grief, what a "miracle" fruit it is. Cures everything from colds, arthritis, back aches, headaches/migraines, hemophilia, why just every little thing in the world, and all for "just" $39/bottle! Well gee wilikers, snake oil and shamans!rolleyes: I just saw an ad on TV that now claims there's a new weight loss program out there that they're looking for volunteers to take part in, so now it's the latest and greatest weight loss miracle!!!!!! I've seen the liquid, pill forms and even have seen that you can get it in Jello now (I may boycott them over this ;))
It's a PYRAMID scheme!!!!!!! It's a SCAM!!!!!!!!! It's a placebo type product!!!!!!!! And it makes people quit taking medicines that would do them some real good and that makes it dangerous. One woman was even told it could cure her diabetes, thank God her family talked some sense in to her. I just don't understand why, when a product makes these kinds of claims (I don't care that the claims come from the "agents" not the company, the "agents" represent the company, and the company is aware the "agents" are making the claims and does nothing to stop them) nothing is done by FDA. If a product claims to have healing properties, and even to cure an illness, it should be regulated by FDA and it should NOT be able to make unsubstantiated medical claims the way Mona Vie and all the rest of the Acai Berry products do.

I'll give the higher up Monavie scammers some credit though, very smart to foster off promoting bogus claims to the little guys. It's always the little guys that end up suffering and even worse is they willing walk into the slaughter pens.
Ok I'll give Monavie one more thing....it made a great mixer for some vodka;) But honestly I can find better tasting, more effective for cheaper.

Hi,
Like all typical multi level marketing systems your guess is a correct about it's selling propositions. You are normally encouraged to become Independent Distributors if you purchase MonaVie's products. You profit by bringing in more distributors and get a percentage of every sale made by your down line.
Generally, you bring in a network of people to sell MonaVie juices, they sell to their friends, and their friends sell to their friends. Let us get down to more details about the MonaVie scam now.
Monavie is a legitimate business and there is a real money making opportunity for people who want to make money with minimum effort. There are probably more super juices than juices that are being marketed via the MLM system, so the competition is tough.
yosemitewriter
Aug 06, 2009, 02:36 AM
That is one of the most ridiculous statements I've read in quite a while. I'm very much into health and nutrition, but I would never buy this Mona Vie stuff, or Juice plus tablets, or any of a number of other MLM products. A sensible person has to use caution and check out what they buy BEFORE they spend money. But to say that the FDA, which I consider one of the most corrupt groups around, should have any say over nutritional supplements is BS. After all, it was the FDA who approved VIOXX, and then had to pull it off the market because of all the people it was killing. The FDA is controlled by Big Pharma, and does not honestly check out what they are approving. So they should have NO say over harmless nutritional supplements. Even if these supplements are not doing the good that they claim to do, at least they are not killing people like so many of the FDA products that hit the market.
If a product claims to have healing properties, and even to cure an illness, it should be regulated by FDA and it should NOT be able to make unsubstantiated medical claims the way Mona Vie and all the rest of the Acai Berry products do.

As does a balanced diet which includes plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.

A few months ago Consumer Report had a lengthy article about this JUICE and their conclusion was that it was JUICE, nothing special, no magical powers.

Hi,
Monavie with its multiple marketing system will not only offers health benefits but also allows us to earn money. Monavie distributors are growing bigger in number and are achieving their ambition of recreating network marketing into something out of the scams.

Did you read the scientific reports on this juice? The juice does nothing special and provides nothing that one couldn't get from a diet that includes colorful vegetables. It does provide a benefit for those that make money from it. Save your money and buy fresh fruit with it.

RE: All I mean to say was, Monavie is not a scam and it provides a lot of benefits for the people to stay fit and also to make money through it.
I admit to having a negative opinion on this product. That people can make money selling it is certainly not a good enough reason to sell it if the buyers are getting "ripped off." So, I ignored that argument entirely.
I also know that web searches can prove or disprove anything if we are not careful enough about researching who posts the data we find. So, I went to Web MD, who I trust, and searched there for "Monavie."
Here's what I found: http://blogs.webmd.com/healthy-recipe-doctor/2009/03/acai-berry-just-another-nutritious.html
"The Center For Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) blew the whistle last week on web-based acai scams, which they say are fooling consumers with fake blogs, fake endorsements, and fishy science.
According to CSPI there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that acai pills will help shed pounds, flatten tummies, cleanse colons, enhance sexual desire, etc. People appear to be getting scammed here two ways. There's the lack of science behind these Internet health claims and then there's the credit card scam - many consumers have had trouble stopping recurrent charges on their credit cards when they cancel their "free" trials. CSPI is reporting that even web sites purporting to warn people about acai-related scams are themselves perpetrating scams, some of which appear to be linked to overseas banks. So be careful out there people, you are probably more likely to lose your money rather than your extra weight."
---------
The rest of the article gets into the possible benefits and how they stack up against products like Concord grape juice, blueberry juice and black cherry juice. It also provides other links for additional information. I'll leave it to you to make up your mind, but I certainly would neither sell or purchase this product.

There are all kinds of products that are "pushed" as cure-alls. Just because something is a MLM product doesn't immeditely make it a scam. I tend to shy away from MLM products but I have taken some that did help me feel better overall due to the fact I wasn't eating a good, WELL-BALANCED diet. Thus I was recieving nutrients I wouldn't have gotten without either taking the product (or another like it) OR changing the way I ate overall.
There are many juice products on the market and many are beneficial as juice or supplement to a sensible diet...Some may help certain individuals because otherwise that individual would possibly not get what the product offers if they're not eating properly.
I also agree there are many scams out there and it is up to consumers to use common sense when deciding to purchase products. Normally if it sounds to good to be true, it is.
I do think it is unfair to call Monavie a scam just because it is MLM...I'm sure there are unscruulous people involved in it just as their is in any walk of life but it does have nutritional value (albeit costly and one could purchase similar less costly products).
I also personally would not purchase this product due to cost, but I might purchase a less costly version that contained a variety of fruits and vegetables I wouldn't eat enough of on a regular basis.
Anyway, there are a few products sold in the MLM (multi level marketing) concept that are good products. It is often a less costly way to begin marketing something. It usually does make the products sold this way more costly to the consumers so with a little common sense and research most of us should be able to discern if we want to purchase any given product. And be aware of hype.

It is a scam because the sellers make claims about the product that are not true, not because of the way it is sold.

That's part of the problem, too many people believe the sales pitches and don't do any research at all. I know many people fully believe in "buyer beware" but I think it is important to protect people from health scams such as this one. The best way is not to imprison the sellers, but to educate the public about the way the product is being misrepresented.
Sure, acai berries are good for you, but so is cranberry juice, and any other colorful fruit or vegetable. Acai berries are not a super food or panacea. They do not themselves cure cancer, cause weight loss, end depression, "boost" the immune system, or do as all those other claims claim.

First of all not all the sellers make those claims. I know several people who sell it and only claim it's nutritional value. The usable nutritional value of any food depends alot on how it is processed.
Anyway. I am not saying it is something people should buy or buy into, so why come back and repeat what you already said? It CAN be a scam, but it isn't necesarily. It depends on how it is presented just like anything else.
Secondly if people go around buying things because of a sales pitch WHO is responsible for their folly? :)

It's a scam based on a misrepresentation of the product.

I just had a great idea.
I'll buy bottles of grape juice and relabel it as a health drink (grape juice IS healthy) and franchise it to anyone that wants to do direct sales. We'll price it at half of what Mona-stuff sells for and still make a great profit. We'll also be able to save people that might otherwise be buying that other stuff a lot of money.
Everyone wins!

I'm glad you think "is the best way to make money and start a business". Myself, I think it's a great way to RIP PEOPLE OFF and take their hard earned money for something that in my opinion does NOTHING!!! Apparently you are a seller of this and trying to shove it down people's throats that this stuff really works. In my case you could talk until the cows come home and neither you or your marketing ploy/scan will get a dime out of me.

Easy now BBBear.
You seem a bit stressed. Perhaps you haven't been eating as well as you might, what with the holidays and all. You might try a nutritional supplement, something like...
Grape juice!
Maybe Red Mule can help you out.

I agree that there are a lot of online jobs or home based jobs that are setup to scam people but there are a few which are genuine and help people to make money. But there are only a very few and most of the time people don't become a member in these sites, but they they invest their money in some scam and lose all their invested money.
