With much trial and error I have finally finished my new web site http://www.oakhurstweather.com the site contains current weather information from my local weather station. The site is updated automatically every 2 min so the temps are current from around the school road area. The other items you will find are current forecast, weather alerts (for Oakhurst, Fresno, Madera, and Yosemite), maps with different weather information, satellite imagery and much more. Hopefully in the near future I will also be displaying pollen counts (I have applied to be an affiliate with Pollen.com). This is a new site and I welcome all input if you are looking for other information please Pm me and I will see if I can get it, all input is appreciated.

Very cool! Nice to have local weather instead of being judged by the Fresno weather! Thank you!

So how do you go about making your own "local weather station"?

The first thing you need is the hardware, I use the Oregon Scientific WMR-968 this will give you the needed items for a home weather station. If you are looking to publish the readings on the net you will need a software package do do that I use Ambient Weather's Virtual Weather Station This is how I get all the info from my station to the web, you do not need a web site to publish your readings you can publish your findings at wunderground.com or weatherforyou.com. These are the sites you see listed towards the bottem of my page.

I like your web site. Would it be possible to add North Fork and Bass Lake? http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif

Ok ok, after living here well over a year, I finally got my weather station up and running here in Coarsegold.
Coarsegold Weather (http://coarsegoldweather.com)
I will slowly add more as time goesby, or as I have the time, whichever comes first. Hope everyone likes it.
