bump. These jobs start at $8.00 per hour. I called a few of the hotels in Oakhurst and most of them pay $6.75, so if anyone knows of anyone looking for work, send them my way!

I put out the word of your job openings down here in Fresno and one interested person wants to know if there any inexpensive place to live in Fish Camp because she would like to stay there during the workweek.

There is a lady named Colleen that lives in Fish Camp that rents out rooms for I think about $400.00 a month. I don't see her ad in yesterday's paper, but there are several others in the Oakhurst area. I'll see if anyone has her phone number. Thanks for spreading the word!

That's odd...I'll give you a call but there's a group of kids who want to raise money for Myst's friend still and are available on Saturdays....some of them need jobs too. So if you still have some groundskeeping or rooms to clean, let me know and I'll let their group leader know.

The major raking job we had was done by the Cadets, but I am still looking for 1-2 full time housekeepers and a full time receiver/grounds/maintenance person. All jobs are paying $8.00 per hour.

Kim. Thank you! I am basically being held up by trying to find where to put the money once we have it, I'm told to not hand it over to her, that it should go into some kind of fund, but havent' figured that part out yet, she is doing worse. I'm really worried.

This may seem like a silly question but what does being a full time housekeeper entail at the Narrow Gauge Inn? I'm the type the rarely makes my own bed...but if it's for money, that's an entirely different story http://oakhurstonline.com/icon/wink3.gif

It is a very physical job, but the people you work with are fantastic and are always laughing, and it is a BEAUTIFUL place to work. Housekeeping is basically cleaning rooms after guests have checked out and preparing them for the next guest, or straightening up the rooms if the guests are staying another night. You would start at 8:30am and are usually done by 3ish in the afternoon, leaving much of the afternoon free. Employees that stay through the season, will receive a free 2 night stay at a hotel somewhere in Calif. Last year trips were to Tahoe, San Francisco, Monterey, Santa Cruz, Cambria and others. And every employee that finishes out the season with us gets one. It really is a fun place to work, but the work is hard. Think of it as a good workout. Let me know if you are interested. I am looking to hire immediately. I am here until about noon today if you want to call me with any other questions and I am trying to take Tues and Wed off. 683-7720 Martha

All previous positions are full, but I am creating a new position. I need someone with an accounting backround to do my accounts payable (quickbooks), restaurant and Inn bank deposits, gift shop reordering, work the front desk and whatever else may come up that I can't think of. It is a full time position in the summer and part time in the winter (26 hours or so in winter) If you know of someone, or are interested yourself, please call Martha at 683-7720 or come up anytime and fill out an application.
