Soooooo disappointed in the Oscars tonight. The program itself was too too awful. The host was terrible - but I blame half of that on the writing. Everything seemed bad - even the commercials. Again - bad writing! The whole program was the worst we have ever seen. Only good highlight was when Bacall presented the B&W films that were the cornerstone of American films and Robert Altman receiving his just reward. My heart sank when best song went to "It's hard for a Pimp" or something like that. What an all time low. Glad for Clooney (Syriana) and the guy who played Truman Capote for best actor and Reese Witherspoon for her portrayal of June Carter Cash. So wished Joaquin would have won for Johnny Cash. So what are anybody else's comments?

I would like to be able to offer an opinion but I totally forgot about the Oscars. I didn't see very many movies last year, except for old ones.

I enjoyed the Oscars last night. It wasnt a sweep (I hate that)
I thought Stewart did fine. You cant overboard on the Oscars and his adlib was right on.
The dresses were beautiful
And it was nice to see a rap band win. Alot of diversity last night.
I wasn't bored at all.

I don't get network channels. I hear this was the least-watched Oscar show ever. Could it be we've taken actors down off the pedestal and placed them in their rightful place with the rest of us working stiffs?
