Pat & I recently realized that TJ's would be perfect for Oakhurst (well, perfect for us, at least :-) We wrote them a letter saying so. One letter won't convince them, but if you think it's a good idea, too, perhaps you'd drop them a line:

I don't think it takes more than saying something like

There are a couple of decent grocery stores (Von’s and Raley’s), but nothing like what you offer. There’s strong sensitivity to price in the area – people drive to Fresno to save a few bucks, even with today’s high gas prices.

We think Oakhurst is ripe for your mix of organic food, quality products and low prices. Won’t you please consider opening a store here?

I love shopping at Trader Joe's. they have some great stuff at great prices.

Love TJ's. I usually stop there on the way to work and pick up supper supplies. Found Messy some awesome White Merlot one day. Mmmmmmm. and their frozen shrimp scampi is to die for.

I have never been inside a Trader Joes. My friend always buys me garlic powder from there though. Best garlic powder I have ever used.

If we had a Trader Joe's I probably never go to FresNO again. I'd save a lot on gas! When I lived down there I shopped at TJ's every 2 or 3 days.
