'Kay, I confess...I watched the whole show, then watched the performances again with Epic when he got home from practice. There were some awesome female performers on there; we were also impressed by how the group supported each other on stage. This one looks like it's gonna be fun.

I'm hooked! Can't wait to see more - though I gotta admit already I'm hearing alot of music I wouldn't recognize cuz it's not in my area of enjoyment and appreciation - like the song the gal did who was requested to encore at the beginning of the 2nd show. Might not have been something I know but OMG was she FANTASTIC, even for my untrained ear.

I'm sorry, but when did these women on this show get the idea they could sing Hard Rock? 99.9 per cent of them CANNOT do it. I love the show, but pleez, it's just a joke to watch them try this.
Before you jump on me, I am a HUGE Heart fan from way back. So give me that one.
I'm an old rocker, and have seen many women come and go in this genre, only a few survive. I get a kick out of this show. It's American Idol for the Hard Rockers. Most of the men are lame singers too! It's fun! Dave Navarro is the coolest guy in the universe. Tommy Lee is the biggest idiot.
Gilby Clarke is lucky to be on TV, and Jason is just there being stupid. What's not to like? If they choose a woman for the singer, it's going to be a joke band.

I believe Tuesday and Wednesday nights. The first week was certainly full of better performances than the second week, and the band really could stop making cutesy remarks and give criticism the performers can use. I hope this is happening off the air and the cute remarks are just for sound bites.
As for the females and metal, during the first week, Supernova announced they were going a different direction than their typical metal. Women can do that. You mentioned Heart, Mr. Man; there's also Pat Benatar, Grace Slick, Joan Jett, Siouxsie...a minority are women to be sure, but if a male band is flexible enough to add a female and grow from there, more power to them. We'll just have to see.

I simply meant a female has to be supergood to play in a male dominated genre of music. There are no Joan Jett's on that show. ( I'm a huge Joan fan too, seen every show she's played in the valley)

Boy, did RYAN kick *&$ last night! I've thought from night #1 if Dilana doesn't win something is TERRIBLY wrong!! Last night I musta been hormonal or something, but she brought tears to my eyes. So glad to see Sarya or whatever her name was has departed...she was nothing but a stripper with her clothes on everytime she performed, in my opinion. Boy, do I sound judgemental tonite!

I used to want Dilana to win to front the band but not after last night. My husband and I were shocked at the things she had said about the other competitors. She clearly is the best singer and would be an awesome addition to the band but I had a hard time with her comments. I think Dave Navarro was ready to dump her last night. We'll see if it has any effect on the voting next week.

I think Dilana has learned her lesson and as long as she is in the public eye nothing is private. And like Dave said in that business you have to aquire a very thick skin.

I think she'll be fine and I do hope she wins.

We thought she got set up by the producers, but she gave them fuel to do so. The apology was good. Her ride was going too smoothly, I guess.
We're liking Toby more and more. He and Magni are the two that will make us sad when they leave. Lucas will not make me sad. His attitude's pi$$ed me off from the start.

We also wondered if it was a setup and that, for some reason, the band decided they didn't want her after all and would let the voters bounce her off by broadcasting her comments. Or, maybe they just want to spice up the show. Remember JD from last season? He was a jerk in the beginning but ended up winning. We thought the performances of Toby and Magni rocked and couldn't believe they were in the bottom three. Some people say, they will never let a woman front the band.

Who goes this week?????? I would hate it to see it be Storm on a STUPIT song choice by the fans for her. Face it...two losers already did that song...it's a loser song for the crowd this is playing too and was a sabbottage move if you ask me. Surprise of the night for me....I didn't NOT like Lukas for the first time and as much as I want to NOT like Toby I couldn't. Much as I like them, I think Magni and Ryan aren't right for a Supernova group and prolly not Storm either. My final 3 - Dilana, Toby and Lukas (did I say that?) at this point.

Ryan Star's bottom 3 performance was horrible tonight. Off key, way over done, looked and sounded like he was drunk or just really really nervous and trying to cover it up.

My prediction is that the band really doesn't want Dilana. She blew it and the public let her know it by voting her in the bottom three. She is a great performer though. We like Magni and Toby but I think Tommy likes Lucas. Storm should have left with Ryan last week.

I think the band likes Dilana cause they were surprised she was in the bottem 3. At least she knew why and hopefully learned her lesson.

The voters will decide the top three performers but it's hard to predict just what Supernova wants and how much is hype for TV purposes.

Toby was great but I have to say that Storm killed it with her original song. We were really surprised. Didn't they say that next week is when they announce the winner?? We're rooting for Toby or Magni.

I think the show also keeps bringing it up does not help Dilana eather. I am now leaning towards Toby. He can write good music and he can sing where you can understand him and he also really knows how to perform. Dave was right on when he said about Toby's song was easy to remember after he sang the 1st verse we had it remembered and it was also fun to sing along.

Was more than sad to see Storm go last night...I LOVED her original song sooooooooo much and with Dave - she was just FABULOUS! I honestly thought it would be Dilana when it got down to it except for Gilby's comments. I did think Storm was allllllllll class when she said goodbye...do you think Tommy Lee couldn't deliver the hatchet cuz he's got a 'thing' goin' with Storm?

I'm not a big Storm fan but her original song was so good that I think she should have done the encore last night instead of Toby (and we love Toby!). We're still pulling for Toby or Magni.

Kewl deal is right, Messy! Actually, I think it's way better that way. I would really like to see/hear Dilana doin' her own thing - she's so unique in my opinion. Rachel adores Lukas so it's a happy ending here...was just checkin' out the tour dates...Feb 21, 22 in Oakland and Sacramento are the nearest - so far. Anybody up for a road trip????????? I agree with you about Lukas' singing talent personally, Surf. All I could was how surprising it was when they had the chance to send him on his way on an elimination night they didn't. Jason never seemed to like him at all - very pointedly criticized his use of voice from the start. But it's the House Band and Dilana I'd pay to see/hear. Supernova with Lukas would be for Rachel - her 18th bday is within two weeks of their shows up North.

I did not follow each show but when I first watched the show I saw Lucas and thouhgt " theres a guy that Junior high and High School kids would like since my Neice says that the group HIM is real hot right now and Goth is making a comeback for the kids. Lucas is a creation between the Cure lead singer, anf HIM's lead singer. He always looked depressed or angry when I saw him and his singing was OK but the target audience they are shooting for is younger than most of us here on the OO forums. We (the older generation) all appreciate a good voice but the youger crowd is more into image. Lucas fit the dark, depressed twisted goth image. The way I knew before the show aired here is I get the east and west coast feeds so I can see the shows 3 hrs early because I go to bed early LOL.
