My Grandmother was married 5 times to people around her age. Her last husband was 10 years younger than her. They stayed together for 25 years, until she passed away in August.

So, I say age does not matter.

As long as the couple has common interests and are happy with one another, more power to 'em.

i think different people have different preferences.

personally, i prefer the guy to be older, in theory, but if you look at my record i go for younger.

Age dosn't matter ( except for Michael Jackson) http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/doh.gif

My Ex-wife was 13 years younger than I was - 24 & 37... http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/love420.gif

Before that my Honey was 13 years older than me - 46 & 33... http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/love420.gif

So my last two relationships the woman were 26 years apart in age http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/yes.gif. In both cases it worked http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/stickdance.gif, I have never really thought that age was a barrier. http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/wave.gif

As long as the people involved are adults, I don't think age matters. Why should it, if the people are compatible and want the same things and have the same goals? I also don't think that a person has to "act" a certain way just because of what year they happened to be born in. They should just be themselves. I don't think I ever saw a rule book of "How to Act Your Age," so why do people always think there is any such thing?

I voted other because age really doesn't matter as long as its adults. I don't think a 30 year old should date a 16 year old. and I don't think a 35 year old should date a 18 year old.

The boys are http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/banned.gif from my girls until thier 25.

I don't think there should be an age limit as long as it works. I tend to go for older guys. Case in point: when I was 18 I met a man who was 36 (twice my age) and we were together for 3 years. I went to to his 20 yr highschool reunion with him when I was 20 yeras old ... LOL. Still tend to go for older guys but not quite that big of a difference, usually late 30's to early 40's. I can't stand dating guys younger than I am, the just annoy the heck out of me!

I heard something about younger person should be no more than 1/2 the age, plus 5(?) years of the other person...
Anybody else know this "rule"?

Age does not matter (unless you're a minor, of course then it could be a legal problem).

I totally believe in the old adage "You're only as old as you feel" or "...as young as you behave".

Let's say someone in their 20's has the maturity of an average 50 yr old and a 50 yr old lives like a 20 something...these two may get along smashingly.

Look at Cher and Jack Nicholson...up in years, but pretty hip http://oakhurstforums.com/icon/applause.gif Both of them could easily attract someone in their 30's and have! Sure, the elders have more life experience...but so what? That makes them all the more interesting and attractive to anybody of any age. And they may be attracted to someone who's not such a fuddy-dud, stuck in their ways like some their own age. But I'm sure there's some in the same age group who would tell them both to "grow up!".

Age is just a number.

Alice

I think the younger you are the smaller the window.
The older you are the window gets a bit larger.
... I wouldnt feel comfortable w/ more than a 10 year difference. (You know your gettin old when half your age is legal) lol
