Foreclosures in Oakhurst, California
Bank owned properties in Oakhurst, California has increased offering an opportunity for buyers to purchase homes at deeply discounted prices. The newer homes are selling below what it would be to build new, which was not the case just 2 years ago. Oakhurst is a beautiful city on the (41) Highway on the way to Yosemite National Park, one of the seven wonders of the world. Many buyers are taking advantage of the low prices, affordable interest rates, and tax incentives (if a first time buyer).
The proportion of bank owned listings in Oakhurst is less than neighboring Fresno. Oakhurst has a higher percentage of short sale listings (owned by private sellers being foreclosed upon), than foreclosed properties. Some of the listings are not foreclosures or short sales. These normal market sellers must lower their price considerably to compete with lower prices foreclosure listings.
Good deals are available in Oakhurst due to the current economy, so if you ever wanted to own real estate amoungst the pines just a half an hour's drive from Yosemite National Park, here is your chance to buy a deeply discounted prices.

Yosemite Skyway Resort, Oakhurst
[Send to Friend]
Consists of 2.5 acres of peace and quiet at Sky Ranch Road and West Sugar Pine Drive, one minute from the Southern Yosemite Highway (HWY 41). The three Yosemite Skyway homes are nestled on the edge of a grassy meadow decorated with native trees – Ponderosa Pine, Black Oak, California Bay, and Incense Cedar. In the fall when the black berries are ripe the meadow is alive with mule-ears (Wyethia – the large yellow flowers of the mountains). A visitor may even see one of Sierra Nevada’s native animals passing through. The meadow is home to a small herd of blacktail deer and sometimes a bear or three.
