The Golden Chain Theatre of Oakhurst brings on "Rock 'n' Roll Santa" this year as its Christmas show, which starts next weekend.
As a bonus, anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy for the Toys for Tots drive will get $1 off the price of admission.
Theatergoers will learn the story of a mass firing in the workshops of the North Pole.
The time is the 1950s. Those teenage reindeer in the toy factory would rather play than work and they'd rather listen to that new rock 'n' roll than anything else.
Once their elf boss Herman fires them, their efforts to make it in the real world are a disaster.
So they decide to form a rock 'n' roll band, sure they'll make bundles of money.
But first, they need a lead singer. There's that red-blooded, red-nosed guy among them, but will he help?
Will they pay off their debts?
Will Santa forgive them and let them pull his sleigh on Christmas Eve?
It's safe to assume there will be no tragic ending -- it's Christmas.
It plays Dec. 5 and 6 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 7 at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $12 for adults, $10 for 55 and older; $8 for ages 13 to 18 and $6 12 and younger. For reservations, call (559) 683-7112.
